My Favorite Farmers Markets near Orlando

Farmers Markets in the Orlando Area

If you’re like me you can’t resist strolling through a local farmers market enjoying the Florida sunshine. From fresh fruits and vegetables to handmade items there’s always something for everyone! Taking part in local events is a great way to feel connected to the community, meet your neighbors, and chat with the locals! Here’s a list of my favorite farmers markets in the Orlando area.

Winter Garden Farmers Market is a dog friendly event (in fact, showing off your fur baby is a highlight of the market and a great way to meet and chat with other “fur parents”) which offers a large assortment of locally grown produce, baked goods, musical performances, sweet treats, and handmade items. It’s held right in the center of Historic Downtown Winter Garden and is open Saturday’s from 8am-1pm.
Windermere Farmers Market hosts a weekly market held on Friday’s (weather permitting) from 9am-1:30pm along Town Square Park (Main St between 5th and 6th Avenues). Local produce and handmade items are big hits along with a variety of food trucks. Definitely something for everyone! Tree-lined cobblestone streets add to the ambiance!
Celebration Farmers Market is held every Sunday from 10am-2pm on Market Street in Downtown Celebration. The town that Disney created hosts a variety of produce and treats with a beautiful backdrop of quaint shops and rocking chairs available along the lake to relax while sipping your morning coffee.
Mount Dora Farmers Market is a cute market that I stumbled upon by accident on a recent day trip to this historic and charming town. It is located at Sunset Park, 230 W 4th Ave, in Mount Dora on Sunday’s from 9am-2pm. Mount Dora is super cute and rich in history. I recommend making a day trip out of it if you don’t live in town. (Tip: wear your walking shoes as Mount Dora has hills!)
All of these Farmers Markets are held in lovely towns that offer history, beauty, and awesome cafes, shops, and restaurants! Plan to make a day of it and support local artists and farmers. You’ll have a blast!
